i've come to realise that i am unable to enjoy any new pieces of media because nothing will ever surpass my tumblr era hyperfixations. i think back on my fandoms of old with a complicated mixture of deep love and sadness: these worlds and the characters in them were my safe space during a very difficult time in my life, they taught me valuable life lessons and the importance of storytelling, and they were a very important way for me to connect with friends, family and many strangers on the internet. i watch the videos below when i want my heart to ache with painful nostalgia. warning: spoilers ahead.
